'Miracle at Tendaho'. The Danakil Desert is on of the most hostile on earth. So are its tribesmen, who for centuries mutilated and murdered all intruders to keep secret the Awash River that flows through the desert. Recently a British trading company under the protection from the Danakil’s Sultan, diverted water from the Awash at a place called Tendaho to irrigate a corner of the desert. Now crops and wildlife flourish but the warriors remain menacing. The programme is introduced by Peter Scott. [Anglia Television Production].

[1948]. Starring Robert Young and Marguerite Chapman. Two bad men, Rupple and Brandaw murder two old prospectors and steal their map to a gold claim. Suspicion points to Nick Buckley, who wanders into town with a mare about to foal. Rupple, at gunpoint, steals Nick’s mare. Nick follows and guns Rupple down when the mare, which has foaled, dies in the snow. But, by now, Brandaw has framed Nick for the murder of the prospectors.
